2016 Pixie District Tournament Draw TONIGHT

The Pixie (6U/8U) District Tournament Draw is tonight at 7:00pm at the Santa Fe Girls Softball Complex (12330 6th St., Santa Fe, TX 77510).  Managers do not have to attend but are welcome.  Bracket times will be posted after the draw.

District 31 Yearly Meeting – Feb. 18, 2016

The yearly meeting with all the leagues will be Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 7:30pm at the Santa Fe Girls Softball Fields (12330 6th St., Santa Fe, TX 77510).  It is important that all attend.  There are a number of changes that each league needs to be aware of.

There will also be a rep from the umpire association in attendance.

Texas ASA Executive Director, Jack Arron, Announces Retirement

Current Texas ASA Executive Director Jack Arron was recently honored at the 2015 Texas ASA State meeting in Killeen, Texas announcing his retirement. Over 100 members of Texas ASA, Houston ASA and members of the National Office were on hand to honor Mr. Arron for all he has done not only for Texas ASA but for his dedication and input he has given at the National level as well.

Mr. Arron has over 45 plus years serving as the State Commissioner stepping down as commissioner and assuming the role as Executive Director which he has held for the past 15 years. Mr. Arron was inducted into the ASA Hall of Fame and served on the board of directors as well as many committees at the National level and was chairman of many committees.

Mr. Arron, although he has retired as the Executive Director for Texas ASA, will serve as a consultant to the organization.

On behalf of District 31 and it’s staff, we want to wish Mr. Arron best wishes and thank him for all he has done for the game of softball.
