Anyone on the field or in the dugout must have a background check. We encourage all managers and coaches have their ACE certification. Get this done early!

USA Softball of Texas is looking for the top 12U players in the State to participate in the All American games. Texas which represents Region 5 in the Nation are the defending National Champions and would like to repeat that honor. If you have any 12U players that might want to be part of this team and are interested please view the flyer.
Our district softball meeting will be February 1, 2018 at 7:00pm at the Galveston Lassie League fields (2820 83rd St., Galveston, Texas 77551) in the upstairs building. It is important that each league have a representative in attendance.
The new rule books and scorebooks will be available at the meeting. If you have not turned in your number of teams please do so ASAP.

Charlie Stevens, age 53 of Alvin, Texas passed away Saturday, June 8, 2017 at his residence. Charlie was born July 18, 1963 in Pasadena, Texas and was a resident of Alvin for the last 4 years. He worked for AT&T for last 14 years and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Charlie loved building his RC Airplanes and Helicopters and loved having a good time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marilyn Stevens.
Charlie is survived by his caring wife of 11 years, Tracie Moore; daughter, Carmen Stevens; step-daughter, Sasha Valdez; sisters, Evelyn Stevens and Gina Stinson; brother, William Stevens; grandchildren, Alexus, Trinity, Clarissa, Joseph “Bubba”, Steven and Aubree; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
A Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Scott Funeral Home with Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 P.M. Graveside Services will be held at 12:45 P.M. Monday, July 17, 2017 at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive Houston, Texas 77038.

As we get ready for the 2017 season I just wanted to give everyone jump start on some of the forms that need to be filled out by your league.
The District meeting will be Thursday, Feb. 16th, at 7:00pm at the Santa Fe Girls fields (12330 6th St., Santa Fe, tX 77510). It is important that every league have a representative present. I will distribute the Rule Books and Scorebooks at the meeting. I need for each league to give me a count as to how many teams they will have for 2017 before the meeting.
Below are two forms:
The Registration form – needs to be filled out and returned to me no later then March 1st along with your registration fees. Deadline for registration fees is March 1st. Registration fees are $18.00 per player, Late fee after March 1st is $20.00 per player
The District Roster – needs to be tuned into me as soon as you have your drafts and form you league teams. All girls will be covered by the USA Softball Insurance for tryouts and practices until the March 1st deadline. After that time the insurance will no longer be available until your league has been registered. Do not use any other forms other than the forms provided. Do not change anything on the forms.
I know there are a number of new people representing their leagues, it is important that as many of you attend this meeting.
